Who is the conference suitable for?
The conference is an open invitation to all of our existing participants and is a one and a half-day event that includes current hot topics within Laboratory Medicine and provide participants with the opportunity to exchange views, question the organisers and discuss problems and strategies. Meetings are approved for CPD by both the IBMS and RCPath. The EQA workshops cover statistical analysis, interpretation of EQA and problem solving through interactive case studies.
Do I have to attend the whole conference?
No, you are welcome to attend as a day delegate on either / both days.

Can I cancel / change my registration?
We cannot accept any registrations after 26 November 2021.

What if I have dietary requirements?
Please specify these requirements when registering and we will ensure that the hotel cater accordingly.
Is wifi available throughout the hotel and conference area?

What is the dress code for the conference dinner?
The conference dinner will have a smart dress code.
Can I stay the Monday night before the conference if I am travelling from afar?

When will copies of the lectures be available?
If we have copies of the lectures available then these will be given out during the event, availability depends on whether we receive a copy of the presentation from the speaker in advance of the conference. If the presentation is not available during the event then it will be available to download from our website after the conference, visit
Will there be virtual option for the conference?

When will we receive our CPD certificates?
These will be available to collect at the end of the conference when your completed feedback form is returned to the registration desk. Please ensure that you select which CPD certificate you require when registering for the conference.

• Attendance Certificate (Non UK delegates)
Are there any Covid-19 restrictions at the event?
The Welsh Government has announced the extension of Covid Passports, however, these changes will not affect the conference. Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel & Spa has Covid-19 response measures in place. These measures include all staff wearing masks, hand sanitisers are located all over the hotel and social distancing is encouraged at the event.
