Welcome to the Weqas Annual Conference Website

This website has been developed to provide clinical scientists, biomedical scientists and point of care testing (POCT) leads with key information in advance of, and throughout, our upcoming events.

Each year, we will be hosting two dedicated events:

• a one day Laboratory Medicine Conference in June, designed to support advanced practice in laboratory medicine, with a strong focus on quality assurance, method evaluation, and the interpretation of EQA data.

and

• a two day POCT Conference in December, designed to support the clinical, operational, and governance responsibilities associated with POCT, with a strong focus on quality management, staff training, device oversight, and EQA integration within POCT pathways.

Our agenda includes our established EQA Interpretation Workshops – highly valued for their practical application in improving analytical performance and supporting accreditation requirements – alongside a series of new, evidence based “Hot Topic” sessions addressing emerging challenges and innovations within clinical science.
